:: Apparatus >>> Daktylofot :: DaktylofotApparatus for the photography of dactyloscopic printsDAKTYLOFOT is a single-purpose desk-top apparatus for the production of photographic copies of dactyloscopic prints. Because of the recording medium - photographic paper - it can only be used in a dark room. Plane dactyloscopic prints of max. 13 x 18 cm serve as the original. The original is placed into a special holder which is then inserted into an opening on the upper left-hand part of the apparatus. If the holder is inserted incorrectly, the action of the apparatus is blocked and the cause of the fault is optically and audibly signalled immediately. The scale of projection is fixed as 1 : 1. Photographic paper of any gradation is used as recording material. Exposure times can be set within the range from 0.1 to 99 seconds. The exposure setting can proceed by 0.1 sec. steps in the range between 0.1 and 9.9 sec., and by 1 sec. steps between 10 and 99 sec. The pre-set exposure can be easily seen on a large display. The exposure can be terminated at any time. The film is not damaged by the heat even after prolonged exposures. The apparatus can also be used for the photography of fingerprints secured on a white film. The apparatus is simple and easy to operate. The whole apparatus is microprocessor controlled; this allows for the testing of its components activities. Daktylofot with side projectionAn extended version of the device is based on the existing device and is equipped with an extra side holder of the photo paper which is out of operation during standard work. The side holder of photo paper makes it possible to make an image with unreversed sides. After pressing a control one of the internal mirrors is moved away from the optical path and the image of the original is projected on the side wall – the resulting image has unreversed sides. The display scale (1:1), tonal reversal and other properties are preserved. |
